Below is a selection of questions answered that I commonly encounter. Hopefully if there's anything that you're uncertain of it is answered below.
It really depends on the size and complexity of the website that's being made. Generally speaking, 6-12 weeks should be expected from design to completion. Simpler websites may take less than this and larger and more complex sites could take longer but the majority of websites will fit within this time frame.
Website prices start from £699. The price of the website will be dependant on size, complexity and time required.
If you've never had a website before, the process of getting one online can seem a little uncertain. Luckily, I just need your ideas, needs and approvals and I'll get the rest done for you. To see the simple seven step process that we'll go through to get your website built and online, take a look at the Process page.
After you get in touch and let me know what you want from your website, I'll make a design mock-up for you (which should take a couple of days). After you've seen the design mock-up and approved it you will be required to pay a deposit before I begin building the website. The rest of the money will need to be paid before the website is handed over to you. If you need to pay in installments over time then get in touch and this can be arranged. Payment can only be made over time if the website is hosted on an account that I control. You will be given the option of taking full control upon completion of payment.
Of course! It's your website. You can send me small edits you wish to make from time to time that I can add for you (bigger changes will be charged for). You will also be able to edit the site yourself by either a) editing the the html files or b) your site can be built using a CMS (Content Management System) called Wordpress which will enable you to easily make changes to your sites content. Making a site on Wordpress takes more time than without and will therefore cost more.
Absolutely! Some people like to get a website to help their business but don't have the time or inclination to manage and maintain it themselves. Very small occasional edits can be made at no charge if it takes a minute or two to get done. For anything else there will be a small charge. I'm just an email away.
Yes. As soon as you've made payment in full you will be the owner of your website and can do with it what you like.
I make websites for people all around the country but, being based in the Newcastle and Gateshead area, I wanted a name to subtly reflect this. Novo Castria is the Latin name for Newcastle. I'm not sure when I first heard this but I always liked it and I suppose it stuck around in the back of my head for years. So I dropped the "Novo" bit and kept the Castria. You can read more about me and Castria on the About page.
